Terms of Service
For creators and Creator Studio users
DeepRed Connect and Creator Studio have not launched yet. None of the features these Terms describe, including every platform connection and publishing feature, is available yet.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
1.1 These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and DeepRed LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company (NM Entity ID 0008059925), 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste N, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States ("we", "us"). They cover two things, together the "Service":
- DeepRed Connect, the screens at connect.deepred.app where you connect your social, video and income accounts through each platform's own sign-in and permission screens; and
- DeepRed Creator Studio at
studio.deepred.app, where you see your connected accounts' content, performance, audience and comments, and publish to your accounts.
1.2 Apps made by other companies may use DeepRed Connect to let you connect your accounts to them. That company's own terms and privacy policy govern what it does with your data. These Terms govern what we do (§7). The DeepRed marketplace app at deepred.app is a separate product with its own terms; these Terms don't cover it. On the platforms' permission screens, our app appears under the name "DeepRed".
1.3 Our Privacy Policy at https://connect.deepred.app/privacy explains what personal data we collect and why. It forms part of these Terms.
1.4 You accept these Terms when you create a Creator Studio account or connect an account through DeepRed Connect. If you accept for a business, you confirm you can bind it.
2. Who can use the Service
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to make a binding contract where you live.
2.2 You must also meet the minimum age and eligibility rules of every platform you connect. They differ by platform and country. For example, LinkedIn's minimum age is 16; Pinterest business accounts are for people 16 and over; YouTube's terms set 16 in Ireland and Germany and 15 in France; and TikTok's business tools are only for people who have reached the age of majority. If you don't meet a platform's rules, don't connect that platform.
2.3 If we learn that someone below the minimum age in §2.1 has connected an account, we stop syncing that person's accounts at once and delete their data under §12. A platform telling us that your account's age status changed has the same effect.
2.4 Connect only accounts you own or are authorised to manage. Don't connect another person's account without their permission.
3. Your Creator Studio account
3.1 Keep your sign-in details secret. Tell us at once at support@deepred.app if you think someone else has used your account.
3.2 You are responsible for activity in your Creator Studio account, including actions by people you add to it.
3.3 Give us accurate information and keep it current.
4. Connecting your platform accounts
4.1 You connect an account by signing in on the platform's own page and approving the permissions it shows. We never ask for, see or store your platform passwords. If anyone claiming to be us asks for one, refuse and tell us.
4.2 Before you go to the platform's page, Connect tells you in plain language which data each permission lets us read or which action it lets us take, who will see the data, and which account or channel you are about to connect. Where the platform lets you untick permissions, you may. Features that need an unticked permission stop working, and Creator Studio says which.
4.3 We read only the data the platform returns for the permissions you approved, through official, documented platform APIs.
4.4 Platforms limit what their APIs return. Some data arrives late (analytics can be days behind), some needs a minimum number of followers, and platforms remove metrics from time to time. Creator Studio shows when each figure was fetched and says when a figure is unavailable and why.
4.5 Some features work only after a platform has approved or audited our app. Until then a feature may be unavailable or limited. For example, YouTube and TikTok keep uploads from unaudited apps private.
4.6 When you connect an X account, we ask you on our own screen to agree that we may link that X account to your Creator Studio account. Signing in with X is not, on its own, that agreement.
5. Platform terms that apply to you
5.1 When you use a feature that works with a platform, that platform's own terms still bind you. These Terms don't replace them, and nothing here permits what a platform's terms forbid.
5.2 YouTube. DeepRed uses YouTube API Services. By using any YouTube feature of the Service, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. Google's Privacy Policy at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy explains how Google handles your data. Besides disconnecting in Creator Studio (§12), you can revoke our access to your YouTube data at any time at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
5.3 Google sign-in and APIs. You must use YouTube and other Google features in line with the law and Google's terms. We will not knowingly let you breach them.
5.4 Other platforms. When you use a feature for one of these platforms, you also agree to follow that platform's terms:
| Platform | Terms you stay bound by |
|---|---|
| Instagram Terms of Use, https://help.instagram.com/581066165581870 | |
| Facebook Pages | Meta Terms of Service, https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms, including Meta's Advertising Standards, https://transparency.meta.com/policies/ad-standards/. Meta requires this of everyone who manages a Page through our tools. |

| TikTok | TikTok Terms of Service for your region, https://www.tiktok.com/legal. TikTok's developer terms say your use of TikTok information is governed by them. If you also use TikTok extra insights (the optional connection through TikTok's business tools, open to personal and business accounts), TikTok's business terms apply to that connection too. |
| X | X Terms of Service, https://x.com/tos, and the X Rules, including the automation rules, when we post or schedule for you |

| Stripe, Shopify, Patreon and other income sources | That provider's terms for your account |
5.5 DeepRed Connect is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any of these platforms. Their names and logos appear only to show where your data comes from.
6. Who can see your data
6.1 Data we read from your connected accounts is shown only to you, in Creator Studio, and to our staff only as §6.3 allows. We don't show it to brands, agencies or other users, and we don't sell it.
6.2 We never sell your platform data, never give it to data brokers or advertising networks, and never use it to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, lending, housing, employment, insurance or similar benefits, or for surveillance.
6.3 Our staff look at your platform data only when you ask us to (for example, in a support request where you switch on access for that request), for security or abuse investigations, or when the law requires it. Each staff view is logged with a reason. For YouTube and other Google data, staff need your affirmative agreement, except for security or legal reasons.
6.4 Service providers run parts of the Service: Cloudflare (hosting, storage and email), PlanetScale (our database, on Amazon Web Services in the United States) and Google Cloud (key management only). They process data only on our instructions. The current list is at https://connect.deepred.app/subprocessors.
7. Apps from other companies that use DeepRed Connect
7.1 Another company's app (a "Third-Party App") may send you to DeepRed Connect to connect your accounts to it. Before you go to the platform, the Connect screen shows that company's name and a link to its privacy policy.
7.2 When you connect through a Third-Party App, we process your data on that company's behalf and on its instructions, and that company decides how it uses the data. Its own terms and privacy policy govern that use. Every Third-Party App must accept our API Terms and Acceptable Use Policy, which pass the platforms' rules on to it.
7.3 Connecting the same platform account to Creator Studio and to a Third-Party App creates separate connections. Neither can see the other's data.
7.4 At https://connect.deepred.app/my-connections you can see which apps can access your data and remove any of them. You can also revoke access on the platform itself.
8. Publishing and other actions on your behalf
8.1 We act on your platform account (posting, uploading, scheduling, replying to or hiding a comment, deleting a post) only after you have seen exactly what will happen, on which account, and when, and confirmed that specific action. Signing in to a platform is not consent to post. A scheduled post goes out only if you confirmed that post and its time, and you can cancel it until then.
8.2 YouTube uploads. The upload screen shows this notice next to the upload button, and you agree to it by uploading:
"By clicking 'upload,' you certify that the content you are uploading complies with the YouTube Terms of Service (including the YouTube Community Guidelines) at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. Please be sure not to violate others' copyright or privacy rights."
(YouTube API Services Terms of Service §9.1.)
8.3 For YouTube uploads you choose public, private or unlisted, say whether the video is made for kids, and say whether it includes paid product placement. You upload to your own channel. We may suggest values; you decide. We never change a video's privacy setting without your instruction. When you post to several platforms at once, you can select or deselect YouTube.
8.4 TikTok. The compose screen shows the TikTok account you are posting to, asks you to choose who can view the post (nothing is preselected), and lets you mark branded or promotional content as TikTok requires. We never add our name, logo or watermark to your content, and we never copy content from other platforms to TikTok for you.
8.5 X. If you use scheduling, we explain what will be posted automatically, and you can stop it with one click. Deleting posts in bulk can't be undone, and we warn you before you do it. If a post is a paid partnership, turn on X's paid-partnership label.
8.6 Pinterest. You choose each Pin we save or schedule. We don't start actions on Pinterest automatically.
8.7 Bluesky and other platforms. Mark sponsored content as the platform requires. Businesses you work with never get access to your accounts through us.
8.8 Until a platform has audited our app, it may force posts made through us to be private. Creator Studio tells you before you post.
8.9 We don't like, follow, repost, reply or send messages automatically, and we offer no automated replies on any platform.
8.10 You are responsible for what you publish. Don't publish anything you lack the rights to, or that breaks the law or the platform's rules.
9. Your content, our licence and our role
9.1 You keep ownership of your content and your data.
9.2 You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, transmit and display your content and data only as needed to run the Service for you, to publish what you ask us to publish, and to comply with the law. The licence ends when the content is deleted from our systems under §12, except for copies in our database backups and encrypted disaster-recovery copies, which are gone within 8 days of deletion and are used only to recover from a failure.
9.3 We don't use your platform data to train AI models.
9.4 You direct how we use your data. For data from LinkedIn and from TikTok extra insights (the optional connection through TikTok's business tools, whether your TikTok account is personal or business), you are our client and we act on your instructions as set out in these Terms and in the settings you choose. For TikTok extra-insights data, we handle personal data solely for you, as your processor and service provider. You can change your instructions at any time by changing your settings or disconnecting.
10. Rules you must follow
10.1 You must not:
- connect an account you have no right to connect;
- use the Service to break any law or any platform's terms;
- use the Service to collect data about people who haven't connected their own accounts;
- use the Service to get around a platform's limits, reviews or account restrictions;
- buy, sell or exchange followers, likes, comments or other engagement;
- interfere with the Service's security or try to reach another user's data;
- impersonate anyone.
10.2 Our Acceptable Use Policy at https://connect.deepred.app/acceptable-use also applies to you.
10.3 If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account (§16).
11. Exporting your data
11.1 While your data is stored with us, you can export the data we hold about your own accounts in a common file format from Creator Studio, where the platform's terms allow it. Some platforms forbid us from storing their data at all; for those, Creator Studio shows it live and there is nothing stored to export.
12. Disconnecting and deleting your data
12.1 You can disconnect any platform at any time in Creator Studio, at https://connect.deepred.app/my-connections, or on the platform itself. For Google, use https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
12.2 When you disconnect, or a platform tells us you revoked access:
- we stop reading data from that account at once and revoke our access at the platform where it allows that;
- within 24 hours we delete that connection's tokens and the data we read from the account from all our live systems (databases, caches, file storage, event queues, logs);
- deleted data leaves our database backups within 7 days and our encrypted disaster-recovery copies within 8 days. The keys that encrypt your tokens are deleted within minutes, so no leftover copy of your tokens can be read. If we ever restore a backup, we re-apply every deletion first.
12.3 You can ask us to delete all data we hold about you at https://connect.deepred.app/data-deletion or by emailing privacy@deepred.app. We complete the deletion within the timeline in §12.2 and confirm when it's done.
12.4 Deleting data from DeepRed Connect doesn't delete anything on the platform. Your posts, videos and accounts on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and every other platform stay there. To delete content on a platform, use that platform's own app or website.
12.5 Third-Party Apps that received your data through DeepRed Connect must also delete it by each platform's deadline after you disconnect or ask for deletion. Our API Terms require this.
12.6 We also delete or refresh data on the schedules the platforms set. For example, YouTube titles, descriptions and similar data are refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days, content you delete on X is removed from our systems within 24 hours, and some platforms (LinkedIn, Twitch) let us keep their data only briefly, so Creator Studio fetches it fresh when you look.
12.7 If you remove a single permission on a platform, we delete the data that permission covered within 24 hours.
13. Accuracy of data
13.1 Figures come from the platforms and are only as accurate and current as the platforms make them. Each figure carries the time we fetched it.
13.2 YouTube income figures are YouTube's estimates, labelled "estimated", and can change. We never convert currencies without telling you.
13.3 Don't rely on the Service as your only record of your earnings or content.
14. Fees
14.1 If we introduce fees, we tell you at least 30 days ahead, and you can stop using the Service before they apply.
15. Changes to the Service and to platforms
15.1 Platforms change their APIs and rules often. We may change or remove a feature, or stop supporting a platform, when a platform requires it or withdraws our access. Where we can, we tell you first.
15.2 If a change we choose to make materially reduces what you get, we tell you first.
16. Suspension and closing your account
16.1 You can close your Creator Studio account at any time in your settings or by emailing support@deepred.app. Closing it disconnects every account and starts deletion under §12.
16.2 We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms or a platform's terms, if a platform asks us to, if the law requires it, or to protect other users or the Service. Unless the law or a platform forbids it, or there is a security risk, we tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
17. Disclaimers
17.1 The Service depends on platforms we don't control. We aren't responsible for a platform's outages, changes, data errors or decisions about your account.
17.2 To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is". Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
18. Liability
18.1 To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data.
18.2 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability the law doesn't let us limit.
19. Changes to these Terms
19.1 We may update these Terms. For material changes we tell you by email or in Creator Studio at least 30 days before they take effect, unless a platform or the law requires a faster change.
19.2 If we start to use your data in a way, or for a purpose, that these Terms or our Privacy Policy did not cover when you accepted them, we ask you to accept the new terms before we do it.
