Deleting your data
You can remove DeepRed's access to any connected account, and have us delete the data we hold, at any time. Any one of these is enough:
- Disconnect the account in Creator Studio (section 2).
- Revoke access at My connections (section 3).
- Remove DeepRed in the platform's own settings (section 5).
- Email privacy@deepred.app (section 8).
DeepRed Connect and Creator Studio have not launched yet, so no creator account can be connected. This page describes how deletion will work when they launch. Creator Studio (sections 2 and 6), My connections (section 3) and the deletion status page (section 7) open at launch. The platform settings in section 5 and email (section 8) work today. DeepRed Connect is run by DeepRed LLC, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste N, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
1. What happens when you disconnect or revoke
- We stop syncing that account immediately.
- If you disconnect in Creator Studio or at My connections, we also tell the platform to revoke our access, where the platform supports it. For YouTube we revoke our Google token right away. Pinterest gives apps no way to do this, so for Pinterest you also remove DeepRed in Pinterest's settings (section 5).
- Within minutes we delete the keys that encrypt that account's tokens, so no leftover copy of the tokens can be read.
- Within 24 hours we delete that account's tokens and data from all our live systems: databases, caches, file storage, event queues and logs. That covers profile, content, metrics, audience, comments, publishing records and income data.
- Deleted data is gone from our database backups within 7 days, and from our encrypted disaster-recovery copies within 8 days. If we ever restore a backup, we re-apply every deletion before the service runs again.
- We keep a short record that the deletion happened: the connection ID, the platform and the times. It contains no platform content.
What deletion doesn't do:
- It doesn't delete anything on the platform. Deleting the data DeepRed Connect stores does not affect data stored by YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or any other platform. Your posts, videos and comments stay there, including posts you published through DeepRed Connect. To delete them on the platform, use the platform's own app or another app that supports deleting them.
- It doesn't close your Creator Studio account. Section 6 covers that.
2. Disconnect in Creator Studio
Creator Studio opens at launch. Once it does:
- Sign in at
studio.deepred.app. - Open Settings, then Connected accounts.
- Choose the account and select Disconnect.
- Confirm.
The account disappears from Creator Studio at once. Deletion finishes within 24 hours.
3. Revoke access at My connections
connect.deepred.app/my-connections lists every app that can read your data through DeepRed Connect, including other companies' apps that use DeepRed Connect once that option opens. The list opens at launch.
- Go to connect.deepred.app/my-connections.
- Sign in with the platform account you want to check. You sign in on the platform's own page; we never see your password.
- Next to any app, select Revoke access.
That app's connection is removed and its data with us is deleted within 24 hours.
4. If you connected through another company's app
Once other companies can build on DeepRed Connect, that company decides how your data is used in its app. You can still revoke its access yourself at My connections, and we delete our copy within 24 hours. To have the company delete its own copy, contact it; its privacy policy is linked on the Connect screen. Our customer terms require it to delete your data within each platform's deadline. If you email us instead, we pass your request on and tell you we did.
5. Remove DeepRed in the platform's settings
Removing us at the platform cuts off our access straight away. We detect it, stop syncing and delete the data within 24 hours of detecting it. Some platforms notify us at once; for others we notice at our next check, which runs at least daily.
| Platform | Where | Steps |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube and other Google services | https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions | Sign in to your Google Account, select DeepRed in the list of third-party apps, and remove its access. |
| Facebook Pages, and Instagram connected through Facebook | Facebook, Settings & privacy → Settings → Business Integrations | Select DeepRed, select Remove, then Remove again. |
| Instagram, connected with Instagram login | Instagram, More → Settings → Website permissions → Apps and Websites | Select Active, then Remove next to DeepRed. |
| Threads | Threads, More → Settings → Account → Website permissions | Select Active, then Remove next to DeepRed. |
| TikTok (standard and extra-insights connections) | TikTok app, Profile → menu → Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions | Select DeepRed, then remove its access. |
| X | https://x.com/settings/applications (Apps and sessions) | Select DeepRed, then Revoke access. |
| https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/permitted-services | Select Remove next to DeepRed. In the menus: Me → Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Other applications → Permitted services. | |
| Pinterest, Settings → Security. Pinterest's help page says you can review the apps you're connected to in the Security section | Remove DeepRed there. This is the only way to end the authorization at Pinterest. Pinterest lets apps revoke only their own system tokens, so when you disconnect in Creator Studio or at My connections we delete our tokens and data but can't revoke the grant on Pinterest's side. | |
| Twitch | https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections | Select Disconnect next to DeepRed. |
| Snapchat | Snapchat app, profile icon → Settings (gear) → Connected Apps | Tap DeepRed, then Remove. Snapchat also removes app connections after 90 days of inactivity. |
| Bluesky | Accounts hosted by Bluesky: https://bsky.social/account. Accounts on another host, such as a self-hosted server: https://<your host>/account if the host runs Bluesky's standard server software; otherwise ask your host, or disconnect in Creator Studio (section 2) | Sign in with your account password, not an app password. Under Connected apps, select Revoke access next to DeepRed. |
| Stripe, Shopify, Patreon (planned) | That service's settings for installed or connected apps | Remove or uninstall DeepRed. |
6. Delete your Creator Studio account
Creator Studio opens at launch. Once it does:
- Sign in at
studio.deepred.app. - Open Settings, then Account, then Delete account.
- Confirm.
We disconnect every connected account and delete its data from live systems within 24 hours. You can also ask by email (section 8).
7. Deletion requests sent through Facebook, Instagram or Threads
Meta lets you ask an app to delete the data it received from Meta. Here is how it works with us:
- You remove DeepRed in your Facebook, Instagram or Threads settings. Where Meta offers it, you open the list of removed apps and select Send Request for DeepRed.
- Meta sends us a signed request that identifies your account to our app. It contains no password.
- We check Meta's signature and start deleting every connection tied to that account. We reply to Meta with a link to a status page and a confirmation code.
- Meta shows you the link and the code. Keep the code and quote it if you write to us.
The status page is at https://connect.deepred.app/data-deletion/status?code=<your confirmation code>. Status lookups open at launch, when this deletion flow starts. It shows:
- the confirmation code and the date we received the request
- the platform: Facebook, Instagram or Threads
- the status: Received, In progress, Completed with the completion time, or Not deleted with the reason
- what we deleted: tokens, profile, content, metrics, audience data, comments and publishing records
The page shows no other personal data. The code is random and long enough that nobody can guess it. If we held no data for that account, the page says so. If the law requires us to keep any of the data, the page names the law and says what we kept.
8. Ask by email
- Email privacy@deepred.app. If you can, write from the email address on your Creator Studio account. Tell us which platform accounts you mean, by platform and username, and whether you want everything deleted or one account disconnected.
- We confirm we received it within 2 business days.
- If we can't tell it's you, we ask you to sign in to Creator Studio, or to sign in at My connections with the platform account. We never ask for a password or a sign-in code.
- Once we've confirmed it's you, we delete the connected-account data from live systems within 24 hours.
- We email you when it's done, with a reference code.
You can also write to DeepRed LLC, Attn: Privacy, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste N, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States, or call +1 212-221-2221.
9. Other situations
Your comments appear on a creator's content, but you don't use DeepRed Connect. Email privacy@deepred.app with the platform, your username and, if you can, a link to the comment. We delete what we hold about you. Your comment stays on the platform unless you delete it there.
You deleted a post or your account on the platform. We delete our copy within 24 hours of learning about it.
